The Supply Chain Industry is one of the industries that is rapidly evolving with technology. The empowered and ever more demanding consumer, supported by ubiquitous data, requires new and innovative technologies, processes and systems. Many technological advances are slowly being incorporated into the supply chain, for instance, the use of Blockchain technologies in supply chain management. As this happens, there is an increasing need to enable the making of data-driven decisions in a time-sensitive manner. This requires the use of advanced visualization techniques that will make structured or unstructured data useful for making on-the-fly decisions. The VizAfrica 2018 Visualization Symposium will address issues of Visibility in the Supply Chain, and will bring together senior executives and leaders from the industry. The event will start with a keynote speech on views and directions for value and supply chains for the future.
